According to the USAOA By-Laws, officials must attend a minimum of 50% of sports-specific training sessions in which you are registered to be granted MIGS status. Therefore, officials should plan on attending a minimum of three (3) sessions. If we can schedule USAOA-approved training scrimmages, officials will be given a maximum of one session credit toward the required 3 credits necessary for MIGS status.

Softball

USAOA Softball Officials,
2026 Softball meeting dates are listed below. All meeting are 7-8:30 PM via ZOOM.
Meeting dates:
Sunday 03/15/26 – 7:00 PM (Rookie meeting)
Sunday 03/29/26 – 7:00 PM
Sunday 04/12/26 – 7:00 PM
Sunday 04/26/26 – 7:00 PM
Sunday 05/17/26 – 7:00 PM
-All meetings are via ZOOM. A link will be sent via email from trainer Nick Pulaski.
Start time: 7:00 PM and meetings will last no more than 1 hour 30 minutes.
-Officials must attend 3/5 of the softball meetings to meet MIGS requirements for Post Season assignments.

Saturday, November 29, 2025, MHSAA Wrestling Officials Clinic tentatively at Belding H.S.  Scrimmage # 1
Sunday, November 30, 2025, Meeting # 1
Sunday, January 4, 2026, Meeting # 2
Sunday, February 1, 2026, Meeting # 3
Sunday, March 1, 2026, Meeting # 4
All Sunday meetings will be at the Northside Pub 2353 Holton Road North Muskegon, MI starting at 6:30 p.m.

Basketball

Here are the basketball training meetings for the 2025-26 season.

All meetings are on Sundays 6 p.m. at Mona Shores High School; park out front by the anchor, enter building, turn right. Room 501 is at end of hall.

All meetings will last no longer than 1 hour and 30 minutes — guaranteed!

Remember, in order to maintain MIGS status in the USAOA, you must attend more than 50% of the USAOA training sessions.

Our Purpose

Our association is dedicated to high school sports on the west side of the state of Michigan. It is our goal to promote officiating, recruit new members interested in officiating, educate these officials, and train them to officiate at the highest possible level.
